August, 2025: Ranaviru Fund has launched its scholarship program for the year 2025/2026.
With assistance from the Ranaviru Seva Authority (RVSA) we are aiming to support the educational needs of the children of Sri Lankan service personnel. During the last round of scholarship program, we were able to sponsor 46 deserving children of service personnel members who are either deceased or wounded due to reasons outwith operational activities.
With the immense success during the relaunched Ranaviru Fund scholarship program we are now aiming to sponsor a total of 79 children to support their education as part of the 2025/2026 program. With support from our valued donors, most who are continuing their sponsorships from the previous years.
Our aim is to provide a monthly scholarship of Rs. 5,000.00 to each beneficiary, which is equivalent to annual sponsorship of Rs. 60,000.00 (approximately GBP 160 / USD 215 / EUR 185 / AUD 330). The annual sponsorship will be transferred to the RVSA who will then disburse monthly funds to the corresponding child / carer each month for the next 12 month period.
Sponsors are welcome to provide full or part sponsorships for the next program year 2025/2026.
