Medical equipment donated to the Military hospital

Ranaviru Fund donated medical equipment worth over Rs 1.3 million to the Military Hospital on 27 April, 2009. These medical equipment, which included a Defibrillator, a Pulse Oximeter and a Cardiac Patients Monitor, will be commissioned in the new operating theater of the Military Hospital.

All items were formally handed over to the Director of Medical Corps, Brigadier Sanjeewa Munasinghe and Commanding Officer of the Military Hospital, Colonel Kamal Sumanapala, at the Military Hospital by Ms. Hiranya Malwatta, representative for Ranaviru Fund in Sri Lanka.

Donations received by Cash, Bank Draft &Cheques are credited in to the Ranaviru Fund bank account in names of individual donors. However, we are not able to credit the bank account in individual names for the donations received via PayPal and direct bank transfers.

Amounts given are the original donations and those paid via PayPal incur a small charge by PayPal (3.9% + £0.20 Non-UK & 3.4% + £0.20 UK per transaction) and are marked with a *. Therefore, the final amount received in the Ranaviru Fund bank account for those donations are little less than the original amount of the donation.
