Ranaviru Fund has provided rehabilitation, educational and medical aid worth over Rs. 4.5 million for the benefit of the war veterans and their families. We have facilitated over 800 scholarships and medical aid for the children of deceased and/or disabled soldiers by facilitating the scholarship programs of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Sri Lanka Navy and Ranaviru Seva Authority.
In addition, Ranaviru Fund has built accessible toilets and washrooms for the benefit of heroic soldiers who suffered permanent disability. Delivering beyond set expectations, the charity was able to provide equipment to establish a brand new operation theater facility at the new military hospital in Colombo as well as a resource centre for visually impaired soldiers.
In providing assistance for urgent medical needs for the soldiers and their immediate family members, we managed to support many with assistance from our valued donors.
Meeting our social and communal responsibility as a charity funded by the public, the charity has supported number of events organised by local community as well as funded select community relief efforts.

Sri Lanka Flood Appeal
The torrential rains after months of drought has resulted in severe floods in almost 19 administrative districts in Sri Lanka, hampering the lived of thousands. The worst scenario had been the landslides in the mountain regions where still many lives are unaccounted for.
Heavy rains from Thursday 12th May 2016 pounded the central Sri Lankan region where at least three villages have already been swallowed by mountains of mud, forcing soldiers and police to suspend rescue work. At least 18 people are known to have been killed and hundreds are reported missing in the landslides so far.
